Unfortunately, we live in a world where there are too many conflicts and wars. There is no doubt that we must contribute for creating a hopeful world where people could develop their lives in a peaceful environment.

After an intense work, Javier Pérez Garrido composed Song for Peace with the aim of showing the peace benefits, encouraging all people for getting them. Now, he has decided to donate the conductor's score and complete parts to all bands who want to play this composition.

This concert band work was premiered by the Koninklijke Harmonie van Thorn under the direction of Norbert Nozy and performed by other Dutch bands in various events such as the Tribute to the Fallen of Second World War in Valkenburg, The Netherlands.

As usual, Portugal is ready for commemorate the arrival of explorer Vasco da Gama to India next week. The "Portuguese Navy Day" will have many different activities, including a concert by Portuguese Navy Band conducted by maestro Délio Gonçalves where the composition Hero Overture, Op.26a by Pérez Garrido will be premiered. The event, scheduled inside Navy Museum, Lisbon (next May, 20th) will have the presence of the composer.

“La banda de música y sus instrumentos” is the title of a band music orchestration & composition course that will be held at Cartagena's music conservatory. This academic event carried out by Javier Pérez Garrido as a teacher will show students how to arrange or compose works for concert band. 

The californian prizes Global Music Awards have given to Javier Pérez Garrido the Gold and Bronze Medals at the Music Composition category. The awarded pieces have been "Fantasía, Op.14" -Gold Medal- and "Fanfarria, Op.50" -Bronze Medal and also Nominee to the Hollywood Music in Media Awards-. Both of them are composed for concert band.

Javier Pérez Garrido has achieved a remarkable milestone in his academic career by obtaining a Doctorate with honors from the University of Murcia. His doctoral thesis has made history as the first methodological approach designed specifically for clarinetists to learn flamenco.

The concert bands Orquesta Juvenil de la Filarmónica Pampilhosense under the direction of Daniel Vieira and Sociedade Filarmónica Lobelhense conducted by Bruno Correia will perform for the first time in Portugal the composition Marcha del Dirirambo composed by Javier Pérez Garrido. The concerts will be held in Pampilhosa and Mangualde, December 20 & 21th.

The Banda de Música da Força Aérea concert band (Portugal) conducted by maestro T. Col. Elio Murcho have just recorded in Lisbon the composition "European Overture, Op.42" by Javier Pérez Garrido. This Cd recording as well as the music scores will be published by Molenaar Editions all over the world.

We are glad to announce the opportunity to premiere the concert band composition American Fanfare, Op.61 by Javier Pérez Garrido. This short and symphonic piece is based on the American Anthem and dedicated to the 11-S victims.

The symphonic band C.I.M. la Armónica de Buñol directed by Mr. José Tello Espert has recently commisioned a symphonic composition to Javier Pérez Garrido for being premiered at the WASBE Conference, 2019. The work, entitled "Last Day of the Dinosaurs" (Sinfonietta nº1, Op.63), will be worldwide premiered next July 12th at Auditorio de San Luis, Buñol, Valencia. This symphonic composition is divided into 9 different movements that speak about some iconic dinosaurs (triceratops, alamosaurus, pterosaurus, velociraptos, tiranossaurus rex, etc.) and their last day of life before their extinction (just where the impact of the asteroid hit the Earth -at about 66 million years ago-).

The Asociación Músico Cultural “Julián Sánchez Maroto”from Manzanares has been conducted by Javier Pérez Garrido during the closing concert of the First National Music Instrumental & Conducting Course in Manzanares, Ciudad Real, Spain -August 10th, 2014-.

Javier Pérez Garrido has just been awarded again. This time he won the First Honorical Mention by III National Concert Band Composition Competition Toledo, Spain. 

"Streaming" is ready to receive the composer Javier Pérez Garrido to talk about his awarded symphonic compositions for band and orchestra. Javier Pérez Garrido is going to be guest conductor at the Unión Musical Santa Cecilia de Caudete concert band to premiere his last work, the band composition titled Santo Grial. Appart from the premiere of this work, based on the Holy Grail legend, he will also conduct his composition Asociación Musical El Castillo, Op.24, First Prize an Honorable Mention by XVI Nacional Concert Band Composition Competition Villa de Pozo Estrecho (Spain, 2008).
