• "Back to Normandy", a new international Cd release

    The renowned band music publishing house Molenaar Editions (The Netherlands) has just published a new Cd recording titled “Back to Normandy” that includes the European Overture by Javier Pérez Garrido. The Portuguese Air Force Band conducted by Lt. Col. Elio Luis Salsinha Murcho have been the performers of this emblematic recording for celebrating the 75 anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy.

  • A Canadian premiere of "A trip to Spain"

    The Didsbury High School Symphonic Winds under the musical direction of Kirk Wassmer will perform for the first time in Canada the composition A trip to Spaincomposed by Javier Pérez Garrido. This easy concert band suite describes the most representative Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Granada) and was worldwide premiered during their Spanish tour, 2015.

  • A premiere in Madrid under the baton of Pérez Garrido

    The Didsbury High School Symphonic Windsfrom Canada under the direction of Kirk Wassmer will have a concert tour in Spain next April. Due to the reason that the band wanted to premiere a Spanish composition they decided to commission composer Javier Pérez Garrido to write a new piece for this special ocassion. Thanks to this cooperation project A trip to Spainwas born at the end of 2014. This symphonic composition for concert band is divided into five little movements dedicated to the cities where the Didsburywill be in such as Madrid, Seville, Granada, Valencia and Barcelona. Their first concert will be at Teatro Auditorio "Federico García Lorca"in Madrid (April 16th, 20.00pm) and Javier Pérez Garrido has been invited to conduct the first public performance of his new band work.

  • An unforgettable centennial

    The Banda Sinfónica Municipal from Alicante has celebrated their 100th birthday with an unforgettable concert in the same place where they played for the very first time in 1912. Lots of people could enjoy the first performance of the concert band composition "Fanfarria, Op.50" by Javier Pérez Garrido, a piece commissioned for this occasion.

  • Andalusian music for trumpetist José Chafer’s new Cd recording

    José Chafer has started a great Cd recording in Murcia this week. Manu Mellaerts, Slawomir Cichor, Raúl García and Javier Artigas will be playing during some of the recordings as well as the Banda Sinfónica del Conservatorio Superior de Murcia concert band and conductor Luis Pedrón.

  • Egge Verlag publishes a work composed by Pérez Garrido

    The German publisher Egge Verlaghas just presented the composition "Tres Piezas para Oboe Solo, Op.43" during the International Double Reed Conference in Cardiff (Wales).

  • Javier Pérez Garrido won the Global Music Awards

    The californian prizes Global Music Awards have given to Javier Pérez Garrido the Gold and Bronze Medals at the Music Composition category. The awarded pieces have been "Fantasía, Op.14" -Gold Medal- and "Fanfarria, Op.50" -Bronze Medal and also Nominee to the Hollywood Music in Media Awards-. Both of them are composed for concert band.

  • Joaquín Asiain premiered three arrangements by Pérez Garrido in Costa Rica

    The internationally renowned tenor Joaquín Asiain and the Stuttgarter Quintet from Germany had a great success premiering three arrangements by Javier Pérez Garrido at the National Theatre from San José (Costa Rica).

  • The EUYWO will premiere a composition by Pérez Garrido

    The European Union Youth Wind Orchestra (EUYWO) conducted by one of the best band conductors, Jan Cober, will premiere the composition "European Overture, Op.42" composed by Javier Pérez Garrido. Besides, this orchestra will play the piece during their 2013 European tour. This piece is an enthusiastic, virtuous and heroic opening for any important occasion.

  • The International Trumpet Guild commissioned Pérez Garrido to compose a work

    The International Trumpet Guild has ordered Javier Pérez Garrido to compose a work for four trumpets and concert band for its 38th festival. Other composers such as Jim Stephenson and Erik Morales will compose works too. All compositions will be premiered during the festival's opening and recorded in a Cd that is going to be internationally sold in 2015.

  • The Málaga Tuba Quartet will premiere a composition by Pérez Garrido in Rome

    "Fantasía Andaluza, Op.47" is going to be premiered in Rome by the Málaga Tuba Quartet. Furthermore, Javier Pérez Garrido's composition will be played in other places like San Gregorio da Sassola or Rieti.

  • The Numskull International Competition commissioned Pérez Garrido to compose a new work

    Javier Pérez Garrido has recently composed Rocking trombone! a new trombone piece commissioned by the Numskull International Competition. This work will be one of the mandatory compositions to be performed by the contestants.

    The official release of “Esencias 3” Cd recording by “Vert” clarinet quartet will be this evening (19.30 p.m.) in Auditorio Municipal de Música, Carcaixent, Valencia, Spain.

    This double album has the compositions Impressions by José Grau Benedito (Valencia), Cantos del mar by Esperanza Zubieta Trives (Santander), Pa que guzte pa tocá by Pere Sanz Alcover (Valencia), Chacona by Santiago Quinto Serna (Alicante), Cuarteto nº1 Op.53 “Trágico” by Javier Pérez Garrido (Murcia), Pasodoble per a quatre by Juan Bta. Meseguer Llopis (Valencia), Molly overture by Rodrigo Buenestado (Madrid) and Promenades suite by Vasco M. N. Pereira (Portugal), all of them commissioned and premiered by “Vert” clarinet quartet.
