The californian prizes Global Music Awards have given to Javier Pérez Garrido the Gold and Bronze Medals at the Music Composition category. The awarded pieces have been "Fantasía, Op.14" -Gold Medal- and "Fanfarria, Op.50" -Bronze Medal and also Nominee to the Hollywood Music in Media Awards-. Both of them are composed for concert band.

Europa Press journal has just wrote that the last awards won by Pérez Garrido are making him to become one of the most relevant emergent international musicians and that is one of the reasons why the Didsbury High School Symphonic Winds from Canada and their conductor Kirk Wassmer have commissioned him to write a new composition for their 2015 Spanish Tour.

Furthermore, the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band from Michigan under the direction of Dr. Kevin Tutt are rehearsing the composition Concertino de los Filabres, Op.54 for four trumpets and band by Pérez Garrido and it will be recorded on a Cd that will be sold in the United States, 2015.

The band compositions Fantasía, Op.14 and Fanfarria, Op.50 are being played even in far places such as Colombia and South Korea. Musicians can purchase their scores on Piles Editorial de Música (Valencia) and Molenaar Editions (Holanda). Besides this, there are some Cd recordings including Fantasía and Fanfarria.
