Javier Pérez Garrido has recently composed Rocking trombone! a new trombone piece commissioned by the Numskull International Competition. This work will be one of the mandatory compositions to be performed by the contestants.

Rocking trombone! is a vibrant and joyful two-trombones composition influenced by rock and roll music style. It offers to their performers the possibility to have fun by playing new and modern music.

The Numskull International Competition is considered the first trombone duo competition all over the world and belongs to the Numskull Brass Festival that will be held next July in Spain. During this festival we will find the acclaimed performers Ricardo Mollá -trombonist recently awarded by the New York Artists International Competition-, Jose Angel Isla -solo bass trombone of the Paris Orchestra- David Angel Domenech -tubist of the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra-, Monica Berenguer -horn player of the Stockholm Royal Philharmonic Orchestra- and Javier Cantos -trumpetist of the Finnish National Opera-.
