The internationally renowned competition based in Los Ángeles, the Akademia Music Awards, has just announced the musicians that will be officially awarded during the next Gala Event in California, 2019. Among them, Spanish composer Javier Pérez Garrido has won at the “Best Song: Instrumental/Ambiental” category for composing the symphonic fantasy based on the legendary and wild west Far West Fantasy.

Through the official website the Akademia highlighted that “Javier Perez Garrido clearly cultivates a sense of the fantastic - something many have missed since it departed common practice among young ambient instrumental practitioners-.”

While waiting for walking the red carpet again, Javier continues working on several projects. The Spanish Navy Band (Unidad de Música del Tercio de Levante) and Commander Jaime Enguídanos Royo will premiere the composition El Submarino Peral (Peral’s Submarine) by Pérez Garrido next May, 25th. A week after, Pérez Garrido will conduct the premiere of his chorale composition El Faro y la Mar, Op.58 (The Lighthouse and the Sea) with Coral Polifónica “Adolfo Vázquez”

At the same time, the Spanish Navy Band continues recording the CD “Obertura Heroica”, the first monographic of symphonic works for band by Pérez Garrido. This recording will be available at the end of 2018.
