  • "Heroic Overture, Op.26a": mandatory piece by I International Conducting Workshop & Competition "Villa de Pozo Estrecho"

    The Heroic Overture, Op.26a by Javier Pérez Garrido is one of the selected works of this important event. This workshop-contest will host important teachers such as the conductors Víctor Enguídanos Royo (Tercio de Levante), Francisco Javier Gutierrez Juan (Municipal of Seville), Héctor Jesús Hurtado Salazar (SAM Santa Cecilia) and the composer Javier Pérez Garrido (CSMN). The selected students, from different countries, will receive some lessons, including an analitic approach to the Heroic Overture by professor Pérez Garrido and will conduct during the concert for opting to the competition prizes. The final concert will be at Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy in Cartagena, Spain (july 8th, 19.00 p.m)

     

  • "La Reina de las Flores", a new premiere for symphony orchestra

    The symphonic valse La Reina de las flores, Op.11 (The Queen of Flowers) will be premiered tomorrow by the Orquesta de Cámara de Cartagena under the direction of Leonardo Martinez at "El Batel Auditorium", Cartagena, Spain. The concert will also have the great oboist Miriam Olga Pastor -from Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra- playing Mozart's oboe Concert. Finally, the orchestra will perform the "Eroica", third symphony in E flat Op.55 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

  • A Canadian premiere of "A trip to Spain"

    The Didsbury High School Symphonic Winds under the musical direction of Kirk Wassmer will perform for the first time in Canada the composition A trip to Spaincomposed by Javier Pérez Garrido. This easy concert band suite describes the most representative Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Granada) and was worldwide premiered during their Spanish tour, 2015.

  • A Fandango in Florida!

    The Christ’s church Academy Band under the direction of recogniced Mr. Lee Ponder -recently selected for the Florida Band Directors Hall of Fame- will be performing for the very first time in America the composition for solo tenor saxophone and band Urban Concert Op.60 by Pérez Garrido. Furthermore, the concert will have the world premiere of the last band work by Javier entitled Fandango in Florida!. Pérez Garrido will travel to the US to stay with the band during this exciting event that will be held next May 11th 2020.

  • A new world premiere for choir in Michigan, US

    Audivi vocem are working now on their next concert. This important event, where the audience will be listening for the very first time the composition La Luna y la Muerte, Op.55 (The Moon and the Death) by Javier Pérez Garrido (lyrics from Federico García Lorca), will be held at 19.00 p.m. in Grosse Pointe Woods (Presbyterian Church), Michigan, US. Appart from this composition, Audivi vocem will perform music by renowned composers such as Antonio de Cabezon, Francisco Guerrero, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Manuel de Falla and Pablo Casals, among others.

  • A premiere in Madrid under the baton of Pérez Garrido

    The Didsbury High School Symphonic Windsfrom Canada under the direction of Kirk Wassmer will have a concert tour in Spain next April. Due to the reason that the band wanted to premiere a Spanish composition they decided to commission composer Javier Pérez Garrido to write a new piece for this special ocassion. Thanks to this cooperation project A trip to Spainwas born at the end of 2014. This symphonic composition for concert band is divided into five little movements dedicated to the cities where the Didsburywill be in such as Madrid, Seville, Granada, Valencia and Barcelona. Their first concert will be at Teatro Auditorio "Federico García Lorca"in Madrid (April 16th, 20.00pm) and Javier Pérez Garrido has been invited to conduct the first public performance of his new band work.

  • An Irish Dream at the valencian Palau de la Música

    An Irish dream will be played by Banda Sinfónica de la Societat Instructiva Unió Musical de Montserrat, Valencia and Manuel Godoy. 

    The concert is going to be at the worldwide known Palau de la Música in Valencia, Spain (July 27th, 11:30 a.m.).

  • An Spring concert conducted by Pérez Garrido

    The Sociedad Unión Musical “Santa Cecilia” from Caudete (Albacete) will be conducted by Javier Pérez Garrido at the end of March. The concert which is being rehearsed since January will be performed in Caudete's Municipal Auditorium (March 29th, 7:00 p.m.). The compositions will be: Children's March by Percy Grainger, Olympica by Jan Van der Roost, Cloudburst by Eric Whitacre and the premiere of Anniversary Overture and Beethoven is dancing Salsa! both of them composed by Javier Pérez Garrido.

    The Banda Sinfónica Municipal from Alicante has celebrated their 100th birthday with an unforgettable concert in the same place where they played for the very first time in 1912. Lots of people could enjoy the first performance of the concert band composition "Fanfarria, Op.50" by Javier Pérez Garrido, a piece commissioned for this occasion.

    The Unión Musical from Torre Pacheco, under the direction of maestro Antonio García Gil, is gearing up to captivate its audience with the first performance in the Region of Murcia of 'Beethoven is dancing salsa!'. This musical suite is based on themes by the German master, adapted to Latin music by Javier Pérez Garrido.

    The Nativity scene of the iconic San Juan Bautista church in San Juan, Alicante, is gearing up to unveil its charm on a unique opening night. This special event will feature the participation of the talented Laudate Duo, composed of singer Concepción Pérez Boj and pianist Cristina Cámara Rovira. The magical atmosphere of the holiday season will be enriched by carefully selected enchanting melodies. Among them, the standout is the Huertana Lullaby in the version by Javier Pérez Garrido, a piece that reinterprets this emotional and evocative lullaby from the Murcian orchard.

  • Fanfarria, Op.50 will be performed at the Roman Theatre of Mérida in a historic concert.

    On October 5th, starting at 8:00 p.m., the majestic Roman Theatre of Mérida will host an unprecedented concert in celebration of the Guardia Civil's 2024 Patroness Day. The Guardia Civil's Music Unit, under the expert direction of Lieutenant Colonel Jaime Enguídanos Royo, will open this special event by performing Fanfarria, Op. 50 by composer Javier Pérez Garrido.

  • First performance of Fantasía Op.14 in South America

    The Banda Sinfónica Juvenil de la Red de Escuelas de Música de Medellín under the direction of Frank the Vuyst will perform the band composition "Fantasía, Op.14" by Javier Pérez Garrido at the Teatro de la Universidad de Medellín, Colombia.

    Fantasía, Op.14 is becoming one of the most renowned works by Pérez Garrido.

    The concert will be held on March 31th, 7:00 p.m.

  • Hamada's prelude will be premiered at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla, Granada

    Granada is waiting for celebrating the MAHS 2016 festival -dedicated to the musician Rafael Puyana this year-. On it, the harpsichordist Darío Tamayo will have a concert where the composition Hamada's Prelude by Pérez Garridois going to be performed for the very first time. This piece, composed for Aya Hamada, has several influences from oriental and minimalist music. The event will be held at Manuel de Falla Auditorium, April 12th, 20.30 p.m.
