Obertura Lationamericana, Op.45 for brass ensemble is a piece awarded by the second International Brass Ensemble Composition Competition Bronces Verdes. It will be premiered at Theaterzaalfrom Enschede Conservatory in the Netherlands, February 19th (8:00 p.m.) by a dutch brass ensemble.

We are glad to announce the opportunity to premiere the concert band composition American Fanfare, Op.61 by Javier Pérez Garrido. This short and symphonic piece is based on the American Anthem and dedicated to the 11-S victims.

The symphonic band C.I.M. la Armónica de Buñol directed by Mr. José Tello Espert has recently commisioned a symphonic composition to Javier Pérez Garrido for being premiered at the WASBE Conference, 2019. The work, entitled "Last Day of the Dinosaurs" (Sinfonietta nº1, Op.63), will be worldwide premiered next July 12th at Auditorio de San Luis, Buñol, Valencia. This symphonic composition is divided into 9 different movements that speak about some iconic dinosaurs (triceratops, alamosaurus, pterosaurus, velociraptos, tiranossaurus rex, etc.) and their last day of life before their extinction (just where the impact of the asteroid hit the Earth -at about 66 million years ago-).

Javier Pérez Garrido has just been awarded again. This time he won the First Honorical Mention by III National Concert Band Composition Competition Toledo, Spain. 

The Biënnale 2014has already started last weekend in The Netherlands. This event, organized by Kerkrade’s World Music Championshipis having concerts by international music ensembles such as German Brass, Calefax or Eburon Quintet, among others. Furthermore, Javier Pérez Garrido has played some concerts and premiered a chamber music composition (Canadians in Valenciafrom A trip to Spain) with Tudor’s Quintet, a woodwind group formed by European Union Youth Wind Orchestra’s members and supervised by Jan Cober and Maartin Dekkers.

Javier Pérez Garrido is going to be guest conductor at the Unión Musical Santa Cecilia de Caudete concert band to premiere his last work, the band composition titled Santo Grial. Appart from the premiere of this work, based on the Holy Grail legend, he will also conduct his composition Asociación Musical El Castillo, Op.24, First Prize an Honorable Mention by XVI Nacional Concert Band Composition Competition Villa de Pozo Estrecho (Spain, 2008).

Fifteen Minutes of Fame has selected the composition 0:51, Op.51 by Javier Pérez Garrido to be premiered in New York City. His piece is composed for solo clarinet and will be played by Dr. Bruce Curlette on September.

Javier will stay as a composer in residence at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he also have two premieres with the Symphony Band under the direction of Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj. The concert, at William Abott Concert Hall (December, 9th) will have the first world performance of a new version of Concertino de los Filabres, for 2 solo trumpets and band, as well as the American premiere of his sinfonietta nº1, Op.63 Last Day of the Dinosaurs, a piece commissioned by Banda Sinfónica del C.I.M. "La Armónica de Buñol" for being premiered during the WASBE Conference, 2019.

"I don't thing we go blind, I think... we are blind" is the beginning of "A ciegas", a short film by journalist Rocío González. Its soundtrack has been composed by Javier Pérez Garrido and it will be premiered during La Noche de los Museos Festival 2013 in Cartagena, Murcia.

The first interdisciplinary project of the Conservatory of Music in Navarra between the Violin classroom of Professor Garazi Echeandia and the Contemporary Music Composition Techniques classroom of Professor Javier Pérez Garrido will culminate this week with the premiere of two works created and performed for the occasion by students. Specifically, the compositions "Sorgin Gaua" by Izaro Txapartegui and "Exploraciones" by Nicolás Iribas will be presented. The first performance of these works will be given by the violinists who have collaborated in this creative experience: Elena González and Rosa Bermejo.

The latest record release by Pérez Garrido will be available on the main streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music & iTunes, etc.) next April, 22. On this occasion, together with the American organization Fifteenen Minutes of Fame in New York, Javier himself has made the world's first recording of 30 solo clarinet romances dedicated to him by composers from all over the planet, collecting a wide variety of proposals and musical styles. The military band "Unidad de Música del Tercio de Levante de Infanteria de Marina" from Cartagena, Spain, under the baton of Captain Jaime Ismael Enguídanos performed for the very first time in Spain the overture composed by Javier Pérez Garrido (Heroic Overture, Op.26a) during their anniversary concert (El Batel Auditorium, Cartagena). After this symphonic opening, the band continued playing other compositions that were dedicated and premiered by their former musicians such as "Suspiros de España", "La Gracia de Dios", "El Abanico", "Ganando Barlovento", etc. Pérez Garrido's work received a great ovation among the authorities, musicians and the audience.

The Sterling Municipal Concert Band under the baton of maestro Jon P. James premiered the American Fanfare, Op.61 during their Patriotic Concert at Grandon Civic Center, Illinois (US). The piece, composed by Javier Pérez Garrido, was well received by the audience. During 2018, Sterling is celebrating the 90th anniversary of their municipal band with many special concerts.

The chamber music students at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Navarra (Spain) are finishing their rehearsals before next week's concert. The event will host a wide range of works and genres, including the first performance of the romance for oboe and string quintet composed by Javier Pérez Garrido in 2019.

Javier Pérez Garrido received a commission for composing a band work for celebrating the X Anniversary of the City of Music, in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain. This composition, titled Dawn of a New Horizon, Op.62, will be performed for the very first time by renowned conductor Jose Vicent Egea and the Banda del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra next monday, 16th, at 19.30 p.m. (Auditorio Fernando Remacha, Pamplona). "Dawn of a New Horizon" is a descriptive fantasy for band that establishes a parallelism between the dawn of day and the awakening of human conscience. At the same time, it shows the new horizon that we are starting to live after the ending of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The composition inspired in the Sierra de los Filabres mountain range and written for four trumpets and band will be performed for the first time in California next August. The Coastal Communities Concert Band conducted by Tom Cole and the trumpeters Richard Radosh, Patrick Russo, Don Sharp and Les Samenow will be the performers of this new release.

The European Union Youth Wind Orchestra (EUYWO) conducted by one of the best band conductors, Jan Cober, will premiere the composition "European Overture, Op.42" composed by Javier Pérez Garrido. Besides, this orchestra will play the piece during their 2013 European tour. This piece is an enthusiastic, virtuous and heroic opening for any important occasion.

The organ composition "In Paradisum, Op.46" by Javier Pérez Garrido will be premiered by organist Brad Schultz at Luther Collegefrom Decorah during All Saints Day's concert.

The dutch Koninklijke Harmonie van Thorn, one of the best concert bands around the world, conducted by renowned Norbert Nozy will premiere the composition "Song for Peace" by Javier Pérez Garrido. This piece gives to the audience the message of peace and love and inspire people to live in a more respectful way. The concert will be in Thorn, The Netherlands (July 5th, 2014).

"Fantasía Andaluza, Op.47" is going to be premiered in Rome by the Málaga Tuba Quartet. Furthermore, Javier Pérez Garrido's composition will be played in other places like San Gregorio da Sassola or Rieti.
