The internationally renowned tenor Joaquín Asiain and the Stuttgarter Quintet from Germany had a great success premiering three arrangements by Javier Pérez Garrido at the National Theatre from San José (Costa Rica).

Javier Pérez Garrido adapted the compositions "Canto a la Espada Toledana" by Jacinto Guerrero, "Ay, ay, ay" by Pérez Freire and "Caña Dulce" by Daniel Zúñiga.

The concert was organised by the XIII International Arts Festival and contained other arias from opera, operetta and zarzuela.
