The composer Javier Pérez Garrido will release his new album, titled "Chamber Music 1," on December 30th. The album, which will be available on all streaming platforms, compiles 12 compositions of instrumental and vocal music, diverse in style and genre.
The album opens with Quartet No.1 Op.53 "Trágico," an intense and emotional work for clarinet quartet. Following this, three vocal works for soprano and piano are included: "Sonnet to Carthago" Op.35, dedicated to the city of Cartagena; a song inspired by the Mar Menor titled "Golden Foam" Op.16; and the "Ave María" from the Bridal Mass Op.40.
This musical release also includes other vocal works such as the song "Contigo Quiero Volar," a romantic ballad singing about immortal love, and "Nana Huertana" Op.15, a composition based on the Murcian lullaby that transports you to another era. These works showcase Pérez Garrido's versatility as a vocal composer and lyricist, combining different aesthetics and styles while respecting tradition and a contemporary perspective.
Progressively, the album transitions to instrumental music with the romantic sextet "Romance Op.64a" for oboe and string quintet, or the neobaroque Suite for solo oboe. Finally, significant clarinet works are included, such as the musical caricature "Bajo el Viento Azul" Op.20a, a humorous pasodoble for clarinet and bass clarinet, and the musical tale "El Patito Feo," Op. Cuack for soloist and narrator, showcasing Javier's humor and creativity. The album concludes with the vibrant performance of the "Three Duos" Op.9 for two boxes, a rhythmic and virtuosic score that crowns a musical journey full of variety and emotion.
The December 30th release of "Chamber Music 1" is an opportunity to discover a selection of recently created musical works through a varied and attractive musical proposal that will appeal to a broad audience.
