The Global Music Awards from California has just granted a Silver Medal in the Best Album Category to the disc Sounds of the clarinet. Recorded by internationally acclaimed clarinetist JM Santandreu this Cd includes the work Tango Suite, Op.36a composed by Javier Pérez Garrido. This important American musical contest where competing many renowned musicians from around the world has decided to reward again the creative work of Javier Pérez Garrido, who already won the Gold and Bronze medals in the Composition Category (2014) with his symphonic works Fantasía, Op.14 and Fanfare, Op.50.

The concert band "Banda de Música Ciudad de Arroyito" officialy conducted by Gerardo Enrique Lemos will perform for the first time in Argentina the composition Marcha del Ditirambo writen by composer Javier Pérez Garrido. The concert will be held on November 23th, during the acts of the 237 anniversary of the city, and have the cooperation of maestro Esteban Fernández as a guest conductor.

The world premiere of the Concertino de los Filabres took place during the opening concert of the 38th International Trumpet Guild, in Michigan, with the trumpeters José Chafer, Rex Richardson, Richard Stoelzel and James Ackley, the Gran Rapids Symphonic Band and the conductor Barry Martin. Two years later, this composition by Pérez Garrido continues travelling around the globe thanks to new performers. On this occasion, the Coastal Communities Concert Band under the baton of Tom Cole will perform it for the first time in California and we have planned to make an interview to its next solo trumpeters Richard Radosh, Patrick Russo, Don Sharp and Les Samenow with the aim of showing all people their good way to work as well as their vision about the composition. The Didsbury High School Symphonic Winds under the musical direction of Kirk Wassmer will perform for the first time in Canada the composition A trip to Spain composed by Javier Pérez Garrido. This easy concert band suite describes the most representative Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Granada) and was worldwide premiered during their Spanish tour, 2015.
